TeliaSonera has launched commercial LTE services, which it refers to as 4G, in four major cities in Denmark, becoming the first operator in the country to offer LTE.
At launch, services will be available in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg. Consumer services will be priced at 399 kroner (€54) per month, giving users speeds of up to 80 Mbps – in reality TeliaSonera predicts speeds of 10 Mbps-40 Mbps – and a data cap of 30 GB. There is also a lower cost version for 299 kroner (€41) per month, with speeds of 10 Mbps-20 Mbps and a 20-GB data cap. LTE modems are priced at 499 kroner (€68).
