We deliver across private and public sectors and the range of our expertise means that we have experience of successfully delivering projects in a diversity of organisation cultures and structures. Here are just a few recent success stories:
BAA Technical consultancy – We provide a range of wireless consultancy services to BAA, including the preparation of design standards for all wireless systems deployments in their airports. We are also engaged to investigate suitable technologies to be used for various applications at BAA airports.
Ofcom 4G capacity gains – We conducted a full assessment of capacity gains for 4G technologies including LTE, LTE-Advanced and WiMAX 1 and WiMAX 2 based on our three-pronged approach to capacity. Particular attention was given to spectrum efficiency gains and capacity gains through topology. Work included analytical review and assessment of spectral efficiency simulations and trials results and conducted our own evaluation of spectrum efficiency based on the mix of devices and traffic on the network over a ten year timeline. Determined the relative gains of 4G over 3G for different technology feature combinations and forecast how capacity will grow against demand.

Major Middle East operator Strectrum strategy – We recently conducted a detailed assessment of the current spectrum situation of this operator, analysed their business and marketing strategy and provided a comprehensive network assets strategy, including the refarming of existing spectrum, acquisition of new spectrum, and capacity and coverage enhancements of the existing network
European Union Trustee engagement – We are engaged by the EU to act as their Trustee to oversee the merger between T-Mobile and Orange. We have a specific mandate to ensure the commitments imposed on the parties in relation to spectrum divestment and existing roaming/share agreements are adhered to.
Major mobile operator Trends in mobile traffic – We recently completed a six month project for a major mobile operator, assembling statistics on mobile data traffic and trends in mobile applications and devices, in order to construct a robust case for additional spectrum to accommodate the strong growth in mobile broadband services.
Ofcom Airport deployment study – We were appointed to conduct detailed interference modelling of emissions from LTE and WiMAX equipment operating in the 2.6 GHz band into the upper adjacent 2.7 GHz band. Output from this study informed both the spectrum awards team and the radar community of the impact of emissions from 4G technologies into the radar band.

Leading European operators Supporting spectrum strategy development – Coordinated a project, on behalf of a group of mobile operators, which examined the economic benefits of awarding UHF spectrum to mobile operators across the European Union.
Wembley Stadium Airspace management & technical consultancy – We have been engaged by WNSL since before the new stadium opened to provide a wide range of wireless consultancy services to both WNSL and the Football Association. We also provide support at all events for the management of spectrum and radio systems deployed in the stadium. We also provide consultancy support for all cellular, radio and wireless needs for WNSL and the Football Association.
